#470620, "Prayer page for Memphis!"

Hi Everyone.. We just found out one of our triplets Memphis has a rare liver disease Biliary atresia https://health.google.com/health/ref/Biliary+atresia. He was born without a gallbladder so we know there is no blockage there. The cause of this is unknown as it is so rare but they do know that it does not run in the family and it has nothing to do with what happened in the pregnancy. He will be getting surgery on it tomorrow in Pittsburgh but, we don't know what the outcome will be because of his age. This is so hard for us to deal with. There is so much going on right now with him,my husband being sick, and 3 other kids to take care of.. The hospital is 2 hours from home and our insurance doesn't want to pay for anything.. Everything is just adding up and I'm so stressed. Going 25 different ways. Anyway a friend of mine started a facebook prayer page and I am just asking everyone to join and keep Memphis in your thoughts.. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/Praying-for-Memphis/114043065312719?ref=mf

Thank you everyone!

Oh Nicole, I am so sorry to hear about Memphis. I will pray and keep my fingers crossed that the surgery goes well. I also hope that your husband gets better soon and that you have a ton of good friends and family that can support you right now. I can't imagine all the stress piling up on you two. Sending lots of hugs and continuous prayers your way.

I am praying for Memphis- I posted something- I think ? on his FB page (it didn't show up ?) about joining liverfamilies.org There are a lot of BA families on the site with lots of good info and support. I was an active member there for a long time, but it was too cliquey (sp ?) so am no longer active. There are a lot of experienced and caring parents there so I really think it would be a good place to check out. You are in very good hands in Pittsburgh for the kasai surgery.

I just heard about this yesterday on Facebook! I was completely shocked. I hope he did well through his surgery and he makes a quick recovery. He will continue to be in my prayers.
